Jean-François Wident was born in France in 1967, and studied Culinary Arts at the “Ecole Hôtelière du Touquet”. He trained at some of the best Restaurants of the North of France like “La Grenouillère”, la Madeleine, and became Chef at several “Relais & Châteaux” like le ‘Château d’Yvonne les Bains’, le ‘Château de la Rochegude’ and ‘l’Auberge Fleurie’.
In 1991, he created his own Gastronomy Restaurant “Le Cygne – The Swan” in Saint-Omer, near Lille.
Jean-François and “Le Cygne” have had numerous Awards and Distinctions in the Michelin Guide, Gault and Millau, Bottin Gourmand, etc. He won the Final of the “Pâté en Croûte au Foie-Gras”, organized by Philippe Legendre, the Michelin Three Starred Chef of the George V in Paris.
Jean-François has brought his talent and several Signature Recipes, including the “Terrine de Foie-Gras” and the “Filet de Poisson en Papillote” to Café Provence this Summer, for our greatest delight!
